The Opportunity
The Marketing Specialist will help us elevate the Kumu brand and grow our user base. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of digital marketing strategies and trends and a strong passion for storytelling and engaging with online communities.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention on the Kumu platform.
Manage and optimize Kumu's social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok) to increase brand visibility, grow followers, and foster community engagement.
Create compelling content for various marketing channels, including blog posts, articles, social media posts, emails, and in-app messaging, that resonates with Kumu's target audience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new features, products, and initiatives on the Kumu platform, ensuring alignment with user needs and marketing objectives.
Plan and execute product marketing campaigns to promote Kumu's key features, events, and partnerships, driving awareness and usage among current and prospective users.
Cultivate relationships with influencers, content creators, media outlets, and industry partners to amplify Kumu's brand presence and secure positive coverage.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify newsworthy stories, product launches, events, and partnerships that can be leveraged for PR opportunities.
Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics (e.g., user acquisition, engagement, retention, conversion rates) to track campaign effectiveness and identify opportunities for optimization.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform marketing strategies and drive innovation.
Support other marketing initiatives and special projects as needed to contribute to Kumu's overall growth and success.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or other related courses
Previous work experience in driving user acquisition, engagement, retention, and public relations
