The Account Executive plays a pivotal role in driving revenue for Wallem Philippines Shipping, Inc. (WPSI) by securing import and export cargo for our containerized liner services. You will leverage your strong communication and sales skills to develop new client relationships, promote WPSI's services and those of our principals, and achieve assigned sales targets.
- I. Prospect Generation and Lead Qualification
Utilize industry resources like shipping gazettes, trade publications, and professional networks to identify potential clients with import and export needs.- Compile targeted prospect lists based on market research, company data, and industry trends.
- II. Client Relationship Management
Conduct sales calls within your assigned territory to build rapport with existing and prospective clients.- Effectively present and promote WPSI's containerized liner services, highlighting value propositions and competitive advantages.
Address client inquiries promptly and professionally, providing accurate information on shipping schedules, rates, and services.
- Entertain clients and representatives of our principals to foster positive business relationships
- III. Sales Strategy and Execution
Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop targeted sales campaigns aligned with company goals.
- Analyze market trends to understand customer needs, potential cargo volumes, and pricing strategies.
Secure import and export cargo contracts by negotiating competitive rates and terms.- Prepare daily and weekly sales reports tracking client interactions, sales volume, potential sales, and competitor activity.
- IV. Quality Management System
Adhere to and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of WPSI's Quality Management System.
Exceed assigned sales targets for import and export cargo volume.- Secure new client accounts and maintain a strong base of satisfied customers.
Increase market share for WPSI Container Liner Agency services within your territory.
- Maintain a high level of client satisfaction through prompt and professional communication.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the shipping and logistics industry
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Valid driver's license- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to travel within assigned territory
- Experience in containerized shipping and logistics (Preferred)
Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures (Preferred)
