As the Creative and Communications Manager for Smartsourcing, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. You have a pivotal role in the ambitious global growth strategy for Smartsourcing, ensuring the smooth operation and success of all our creative projects, in both digital and physical channels. You'll be able to take your account director experience to the next level by collaborating closely with experienced brand and strategy advisors, as a part of Smartsourcing's collaborative and productive environment. This role demands a blend of creativity, leadership, and project management skills to drive both individual and team success while ensuring the department meets its strategic and operational goals.
Some of the things we expect you to do are to:
- Collaborate with brand and strategy advisors to define the department's strategic goals in alignment with Smartsourcing's global ambitions.
- Lead resource allocation and ensure budget and personnel are efficiently deployed across projects.
- Actively participate in Senior Leadership Team discussions, offering insights from the creative department that contribute to broader company strategies.
- Oversee daily operations within the creative department, focusing on streamlining workflows and maintaining deadlines.
- Manage and prioritize project requests from both internal teams and external clients.
- Ensure clarity in task delegation to team members, maintaining open lines of communication regarding responsibilities and expectations.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal clients, stakeholders, partners, and the creative team.
- Set and manage client expectations throughout the creative process, ensuring clear communication and timely project completion.
- Foster strong collaboration between internal team members and external partners (vendors, clients, suppliers).
- Continuously evaluate existing departmental processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Introduce new tools and technologies to improve workflows and optimize project management.
- Develop project tracking systems that ensure consistent monitoring of progress and on-time delivery.
- Mentor and guide the Creative and Marketing Communications team, creating a supportive and positive work environment.
- Identify training opportunities for team members to further develop their skills and knowledge.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving within the department
Requirements
We would need you to be or have the following:
- A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent
- experience).
- 7-8 years of experience in a creative or advertising agency, or marketing department, with experience leading creative teams.
- Strong background in account management, specifically handling client relationships.
- Expertise in project management methodologies and tools like Smartsheet.
- Proven organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Knowledgeable in creative design principles and workflow management.
