Overview:
An internship is a program that students undertake during their senior year to enable them to bridge theory and practice, and to prepare them for employment after college. It aims to provide an opportunity for guided learning outside the confines of the classroom. It requires the completion of at least 300 work hours in a host institution approved by the internship coordinator, along with other requirements that seek to ensure that students reflect upon their experiences.
Expected Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the internship program, the students are expected to:
- demonstrate an understanding of what it entails to apply for and land a job in a relevant field;
- use the skills and knowledge gained from their (major) courses in a work setting;
- distinguish between decision-making on the level of theory and in actual practice, and;
- appraise decisions and policies observed on the basis of values, skills and knowledge learned in the University
Description of the role:
The student is expected to provide market research information that will give insight to Ninja Van on how to improve its suite of services and market outputs (website, digital campaigns, events)
- To provide market research and intel that Ninja Van can utilize to better its suite of services
- Collect and consolidate data on consumers, industries, trends (cultural and social), and target market views and attitude thru available channels (socmed, website, events, etc.).Providing market insight thru competitive scans and feedback on marketing content
- To provide benchmark and information that Ninja Van can utilize to improve its marketing content (i.e. soc med or websites) and events
- Collect and consolidate data to measure effectiveness of programs, campaigns, and strategies of marketing, and trade marketing
- Assist in market research for campaigns and projects
