Job Description:
- Oversight and implementation of Operational Risk related activities in ShopeePay under the RMO with compliance to BSP Circular 971, 900, 981, 1044 and relevant BSP circulars on Market and Liquidity Risk Management.
- Assists the Operational Risk Officer in performing risk related activities such as, but not limited to, stress testing, scenario analysis, RCSA, Incident Reporting.
- The Market and Liquidity Risk Officer will be responsible for identifying, measuring, monitoring, and mitigating market and liquidity risks across the institution. This role involves developing risk management strategies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial markets, risk management principles, and regulatory frameworks.
- Perform Risk Identification and Assessment by identifying and assessing market and liquidity risks associated with the institution's activities to develop and implement risk assessment models and methodologies.
- Risk Monitoring and Reporting market and liquidity risk exposures on an ongoing basis in preparation for regular risk reports for senior management and the Board of Director and ensure timely escalation of significant risk issues.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans in collaboration with various departments to ensure effective risk controls are in place.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and guidelines. Liaise with regulatory bodies and participate in regulatory reporting and audits as applicable.
- Develop and maintain risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Conduct periodic reviews and updates to ensure they remain effective and relevant.
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate the potential impact of adverse market conditions and use the results to enhance risk management strategies and capital planning.
- Leverage risk management systems and tools to enhance risk measurement and monitoring. Work with IT and other stakeholders to ensure systems are appropriately configured and maintained.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on market and liquidity risk management practices and promote a strong risk culture within the institution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., FRM, CFA) preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in market and liquidity risk management within a financial institution.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in operational risk management within a financial institution.
- In Depth knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and risk management principles.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., BSP regulations, Basel III, DoddFrank Act) and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
