Job purposeThis role of a Marine & HSEQ Superintendent is to be responsible for the overseeing of all marine and HSEQ operations for your vessels within their Bulker fleet. The role will involve oversees travelling for routine vessel visits and internal audits. Furthermore, you will also be responsible for assessments for oil major inspections together with day-today office activities.
- Duties and responsibilities
Perform pre-vetting/TMSA
- Perform annual ISM/ISPS/MLC audits onboard
Follow-up on relevant marine operation reporting- Ensure good cooperation between vessel and onshore organization
Ensure that the Company's objectives including HSE targets are met
- Communicate with Class and Flag State
Take over of new vessels in management- Be part of onshore Security Officer team
Work closely with the HSE Management team to ensure smooth and successful implementation of QHSE system and policies for the Division.
Perform systematic review of recommended codes, guidelines and standards and ensure compliance with Quality & Safety Management standards
Ensure and maintain vessels zero loss time accident record and to report all vessel incidents, Near Misses to prevent and eliminate potential incidents.
Undertake any other Marine/HSEQ related assignments as and when required.
Minimum Diploma in Marine Transportation with at least minimum 3 yrs. relevant sailing experience as Master experiences in Bulk Carrier
Possess good organizational and communication skills and hands-on.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO
Independent and resourceful. Able to work under pressure to meet deadline
Analytical and highly proactive in technical trouble shooting and problem solving
Familiarity with ISM / ISPS is a must
Able to conduct effective stand-up training for vessel crews
Ability to travel within short notice as required
