Position Responsibilities
The Manager, Content Operations is responsible for managing the staff necessary to ensure the highest quality and accuracy in information content collection activities conducted by Deltek that feed its various subscription-based information products. The position is responsible for the overall staff management and development of a team of 12-15 people and for ensuring the overall quality of the information in the database.
Duties and Responsibilities:
. Hire and manage analyst staff at various levels and for various shifts to ensure continuity of operations. The various information collection functions include:
. Verifying contact information for thousands of U.S. government and industry contacts.
. Reviewing, editing, and classifying thousands of U.S. state and local government procurement notices, amendments, and award notices fed through our Content Management System.
. Reviewing and classifying thousands of articles focused on U.S. federal, state and local government contracting.
. Develop and implement training and quality assurance programs for the team's information collection and processing activities.
. Lead and participate in efforts to make continuous process and product improvements to maximize productivity and quality in the finished information products.
. Contribute to planning, product enhancements, and recommend improvements.
. Track and report on progress in achieving goals and established milestones.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business related field of study. Advanced Degree preferred, but not required.
. 3-5 years of demonstrated excellence in a management position in the field of information and data collection and processing.
. Superior communications skills in English language.
. Willingness to work shift work on rotation as required as some of the activities require phone work during U.S. business hours.
. Must have excellent computer and Internet skills including Microsoft Office, Internet research.
. Excellent attitude, strong team player and focused on achieving objectives and ensuring high quality.
. Proven project management skills, including demonstrated ability to schedule, manage, and accomplish work deadlines on-time.
. Ability to manage multiple tasks, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
