Job Description

As part of our continued expansion, we are looking for a manager to join our Human Resources Team Located in Manila, Philippines.

The HR Manager will oversee a wide range of HR functions, office management, employee relations, and payroll administration, ensuring smooth daily operations and compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Reporting directly to the HR Manager in Europe, this role is essential in promoting a positive work environment, managing employee engagement, and ensuring legal compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience working with global technology companies and a strong understanding of their unique needs.

The Role

As a the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for:

Employee Relations

  • Act as a key point of contact for employee relations, addressing workplace issues and resolving conflicts promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in conducting investigations related to employee complaints, disciplinary actions, and terminations, ensuring compliance with legal and company guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies across all HR functions.

Talent Acquisition And Onboarding

  • Partner with the recruitment team, and department heads to assist in the recruitment of top talent and manage smooth onboarding processes.
  • Attend local recruitment events with the Talent Sourer to build a pipeline of qualified candidates and represent Continent 8 in the local tech community.

Performance Management

  • Support the performance review process and assist managers with queries that arise.

Payroll & Compensation

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for India, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with payroll vendors to ensure timely payroll disbursement and accurate reporting.
  • Oversee benefits administration, including health insurance, leave policies, and employee perks.
  • Work closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure proper payroll reporting and timely payments.

CAB (Transportation) Rosters

  • Prepare and manage weekly cab rosters by coordinating with employees and department managers to ensure timely and safe transportation to and from work.
  • Oversee transportation services, ensuring efficiency and addressing any ad-hoc requests related to employee travel.

Office Facility Management

  • Oversee office facilities, including managing third-party security vendors, cab services, first aid facilities, pantry services, and drinking water dispensers.

Employee Engagement And Office Events

  • Organize and manage office events, including office anniversaries, onboarding activities, employee birthdays, festivals, team outings, and dinners.
  • Coordinate transportation for employee events and outings.

Corporate Medical Insurance Coordination

  • Liaise with insurance brokers and third-party administrators (TPAs) to manage corporate medical insurance, including handling new additions, deletions, endorsement lists, and invoice reconciliations.

Ad-Hoc Requests

  • Address employee requests related to facilities, transportation, and other office services.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in HR.
  • Experience working with global technology companies and an understanding of their unique HR needs.
  • Strong understanding of Indian labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience in assisting with employee relations investigations and resolving workplace conflicts.
  • Experience working with payroll vendors and managing payroll systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage diverse responsibilities.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors for office facilities, security, and transportation.
