General Description
The Product Development & Innovation Commercial Manager leads the PDIC team based at Dolefil to support delivery of Innovation and Renovation projects in line with organizational requirements. Manages and mentors the PDIC team to develop technically & professionally into future leaders for Dole. Helps deliver Dole's Innovation agenda and Dole promise and thus contribute towards organization's success and Dole brand's image and value.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Product Development - Oversees Product Development process including plant trials, lab trials and shelf life study in order to ensure timely delivery in line with required cost and quality
- Product Renovation/ Cost Saving- Oversees Projects targeted to improve existing product/ processes & cost savings
- RM/PM Specifications - Oversees review and approval of existing and new raw material and packaging material specifications as per the requirements
- Mentoring and Developing PDIC Team- Mentor and manage direct and indirect reports to ensure engagement, high performance and a robust training and career plan.
- Communications and Reporting - Communicate the status and progress to various stakeholders in order to drive timely decisions on projects and issues.
- Manage Resources and Budget - To assign appropriate resources and budgets to the priority projects thus ensuring delivery in line with scope, quality and timelines.
Qualifications
- Masters in Food Technology/ Food Science/ Chemistry. Certification in HACCP, ISO, Food Regulations preferred.
- Minimum 15 years (minimum 5 in Canning/ Food Processing Industry)
- Food Technology/ Food Science Food Processing/ Preservation Team Management
