About The Team & Business Line:
Fund Administration is Citco's core business, and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the industry's most respected. Our continuous investment in learning and technology solutions means our people are equipped to deliver a seamless client experience.
As a core member of our Financial Reporting team, you will be working with some of the industry's most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.
Your Role:
- Provide oversight to financial and regulatory processes, including compilation, review and technical assistance. Compile and advise on monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory and financial reports such as audited financial statements, Form PF, Form SLT and others.
- Contribute to strong relationships through interactions with internal parties, client and audit firm personnel.
- Train staff on established regulations and updated rules. Establish and support department and individual goals, prepare performance evaluations, direct individual and group staff meetings. Manage the career development for all reporting accountants by group and individual training.
- Write and/or review various reports related to engagements. Prepare adhoc reports for the client upon request. Troubleshoot fund accounting and client issues. Attend meetings and training to enhance knowledge to be passed down to reporting accountants.
- Support reporting and fund accounting related duties during peak periods as defined by Operations Manager.
- Contribute to identifying, researching, and communicating recent authoritative pronouncements to CFS offices and clients.
- Understand engagement economics as it relates to managing budget for individual engagements and projects.
- Recognize and communicate potential opportunities for new clients as well as value added service enhancements for existing clients.
- Develop, implement, and support financial and regulatory reporting software tools in a variety of local and distributed environments.
- Translate existing business processes, logic and requirements into future-state technology software solutions focusing on the enhancement or automation of processes.
- Identify errors or problems and independently investigate; recommend solutions to team members or supervisors. Continuously monitor tools and templates to ensure any malfunctions are immediately recognized and corrected.
- Utilize enterprise-ticketing system to take on ad hoc user requests, fixes and requirements changes.
- Lead assigned projects including planning, time budgeting and delegation to junior product technician staff across multiple offices. Monitor and report time project overruns and deadline adherence.
- Review and approve work prepared by product technician staff.
- Report to the product technician manager issues that need escalation to IT or business management.
- Provide training to business and product technician staff on best practices in product usage.
- Lead and understand technical specifications received from business and technology analysts.
- Interact with a variety of CFS personnel and collaborate with these groups.
- Work under limited supervision and plan own week-to-week work based upon requirements and milestones provided by management and help manage junior product technicians time allocations. Suggest methods and procedures for new work assignments, reviewing with management for approval.
- Document and maintain progress logs related to projects.
- Prepare technically detailed documentation for user instructions, production processes, and other programming documentation.
- Attend relevant trainings when necessary, reading the latest literature, and ensuring skills and/or certifications are up to date.
- Assist in designing training courses and programs to educate on best practices in software usage.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and other Accounting related courses.
- Preferably, a CPA, non-CPAs are also welcome to apply.
- With at least 5+ years of external audit experience (ideally in Asset Management Industry) or work experience in other financial institution where the candidate has gained relevant financial reporting exposure.
- With at least 3+ years of experience in team and client management in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Concrete experience on US GAAP, IFRS, Asset Management, Hedge Fund, Financial Reporting in a Supervisory/Assistant Manager capacity
- Preferably with previous Financial Statement review and/or preparation experience.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge in using Microsoft Excel application.
- Amenable to work in our Makati (OneAyala) or Alabang (Northgate Cyber Zone) office.
- Amenable to work on a Hybrid set up (2-3 days onsite)
- Amenable to work on shifting schedules (AM or Mid-shift)
