Responsibilities
- Support your team of 10 developers and QA across multiple teams
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and product leadership to ensure alignment and transparency across teams around goals, approaches, and growth
- Timely hiring and recruiting, and building an effective team
- Conducting performance reviews, coaching, and development
- Establish and monitor both individual and team goals as well as organizational objectives
- Facilitate meetings between engineering units and stakeholders
- Work closely with HR to maintain contract management
- Establish and manage project plans, timelines, schedules, team structure, resourcing, and communication both within and between teams
- Ensure standards compliance, high quality, and timely releases of features/products to market
- Encourage an inclusive and open environment that makes space for diverse viewpoints and working styles
- Research and advocate for the adoption of best-in-class tools and technologies
Minimum Qualifications
- Self-motivated, self-managing, with excellent organizational skill and an eye for quality
- 3+ years of experience as a tech lead, product manager, or project manager in the development and operations of web services and/or web-based applications
- 2+ years programming experience
- Practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong project management skills
- Able to communicate and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience coaching team members and guiding their growth along career paths
- Experience in recruitment, talent management, and evaluation of employees from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Fluent English
Nice to Have
- BS or MS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- Current fluency in at least one frontend and one backend framework (Python and React preferred)
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Experience maintaining live applications at scale in a production environment
- Experience as a people manager with a servant leadership mindset
