Job Description:
- Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts Balance sheet Reconciliation for UK and EU entitles. Generate monthly management accounts for the UK and EU entities, adhering to UK GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Practise) standards. Analyse financial metrics, including revenues, costs, and profit margins, to deliver comprehensive reports that aid management in making informed strategic choices.
- Management of Intercompany Transactions Supervise and validate the integrity of all intercompany transactions, encompassing invoicing, payments, and reconciliations. Establish and uphold intercompany agreements while ensuring compliance, promptly addressing any inconsistencies.
- Budgeting and Financial Forecasting Assist the Department Manager with the annual budgeting process to align with the organisation's objectives. Develop rolling forecasts and monitor actual performance against budget expectations, providing variance analyses that highlight significant shifts and suggest remedial actions.
- Detailed Variance Analysis Execute thorough monthly variance analysis to explore discrepancies in financial results. Create reports detailing key variances, their drivers, and actionable recommendations for management and relevant stakeholders.
- Year-End Coordination Facilitate the year-end process, preparing necessary documentation and schedules for filling. Assist department manager to implement recommendations to strengthen financial controls and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Xero, Dext, etc)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with cross-border and intercompany transactions is preferred due to the company's structure. Familiarity with US, UK and/or Irish accounting and tax processes would be very advantageous
- Flexibility to work with a team based in a different time zone is essential.
