General Organize, supervise, and direct the maintenance team (Luzon and Mindanao) to ensure equipment availability and efficiency in the use of resources.
Actively report to the Executive Director regarding day-to-day activities of maintenance team.
Ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the Maintenance team.
Ensure that the maintenance team conform and comply with company policies and procedures.
Ensure development and improvement of skills and competencies of maintenance personnel through objective assessment.
Ensure development and improvement of skills and competencies of operators/drivers regarding safe use and operation of equipment.
Ensure that the implementation of activities in the Maintenance Department is aligned with the integrated management system of the company (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
Communicate effectively and openly to the Executive Director all concerns or issues pertaining to the assigned duties and responsibilities, and scope of work.
Act as a link between the management and the rest of the maintenance team.
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair
Review all reports submitted by the Maintenance Supervisor or Sr. Mechanical Engineer or Jr. Mechanical Engineer.
Analyze maintenance reports and provide solutions (planning, organizing, strategizing, execution) that will ensure efficient use of all available resources (e.g., manpower, parts and consumables, tools, service vehicle, time) thereby reducing equipment downtime and enhancing equipment performance.
Analyze Equipment History Records to determine if it is more feasible to replace the equipment.
Recommend improvements in the Maintenance procedures, forms, and guidelines.
Prepare Progress Report every week detailing the status of all equipment subject for evaluation and rehabilitation.
Send all weekly maintenance reports and Progress Report to Executive Director.
Review all Rob-Out Requests prepared by Mechanical Engineer.
Coordinate and follow-up with the Executive Director for the approval of Rob-Out Requests.
Ensure that all Rob-Out Requests are duly approved by the Executive Director before initiating the actual activity.
Verify job completion in the Job Order once the PMS or repair is completed (for Luzon only).
Approve Purchase Requisition Slips for mechanical-related requests (for Luzon and Mindanao).
Conduct trainings relevant (but not limited) to the basic maintenance and safe operation of equipment.
Conduct regular visit to all company yards.
Coordinate with HR Supervisor for manpower needs and training requests.
Evaluate performance of maintenance personnel under his supervision (in Luzon only) using appropriate HR forms (e.g., 90-day evaluation, 180-day evaluation, regular performance evaluation).
Conduct final interview of applicants of technical positions in coordination with HR.
Review the need of maintenance personnel for overtime based on urgency or demand.
Other tasks that may be assigned by the Executive Director or Authorized Personnel from time to time
