ABOUT THE POSITIONWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the Maintenance Manager in overseeing all aspects of maintenance and repair for our head office and restaurant facilities, equipment, and machinery. This includes developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs, managing a team of maintenance technicians, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations. The Maintenance Assistant Manager will coordinate daily maintenance activities, conduct safety inspections, and ensure that all operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Additionally, the role involves fostering a positive work environment, providing training and guidance to maintenance personnel, and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will assist in managing the maintenance budget, controlling costs, and overseeing the inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment. Responsibilities also include coordinating procurement, maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, and preparing reports on performance metrics. The role involves planning and executing maintenance projects, coordinating with other departments and external contractors, and ensuring project completion within scope, budget, and timeline. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of effectively managing maintenance operations in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5 years of relevant work experience in a QSR Industry
Previous supervisory experience managing a team of maintenance technicians- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical documentation
Demonstrated problem-solving skills to analyze equipment failures and implement effective corrective solutions
- Strong communication and leadership skills to influence all levels of personnel
Knowledge of industrial plant mechanical, electrical, and welding concepts/applications- Understanding of procurement policies, contract administration, and inventory management
Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and off-hour call-outs
- Ability to access all areas of the restaurants and head office as required to perform duties
