Position SummaryThe Magnetics Engineer-Mechanical will design magnetic assemblies and tooled parts with due consideration to manufacturability, quality, cost, and performance for the Switch Mode Power Supply Application. Release specifications as per product design requirements. Coordinate with the vendors for the fabrication of parts and with the factory for verification of actual parts. Support all inquiries and technical information needed.
Design plastic parts such as bobbin, header, holder, and spacers for Magnetic parts such as Transformers and Inductors used in Switch Mode Power Supply Applications
- Handle other Mechanical custom designs such as cu busbar / flat wire windings; planar windings, custom ferrite cores, and transformer/inductor assemblies.
Responsible in sustaining mechanical parts inquiries and updates.- Release specifications and communicate with vendors for mechanical parts tooling.
Consider cost, performance, standardization, and quality of all items designed.
Candidate must possess bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- With At least 3 years of relevant work experience in an R&D or Design environment
Knowledge of the following:
Plastic Molding
Design
Proficient in 2D and 3D modeling (preferably Creo/Solid works)
Mechanical parts design and Tolerance Analysis
Manufacturing processes of Magnetic parts or electronic product
Technical Report Writing- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
Knowledgeable in MS Office, electronic components operation and application
- Must have the ability to work in a cross-cultural team, assertive, good leadership, team player, and flexible.
