Position SummaryThe Magnetics Engineer will design magnetic assemblies with due consideration to manufacturability, quality, cost, and performance. Release the Bill of materials and specifications as per design requirements. Support all inquiries and technical info needed. Coordinate with the factory and monitor builds.
Conceptualize design of mechanical systems for new or modify existing automated machineries.
- Provide an idea or concept of new/applicable transformer construction
Cross-functional work with EE, PCAD, Mechanical, Safety, and Manufacturing during design conceptualization- Design Engineering Compliance and Factory support
Standardization and re-use of magnetic assemblies and parts
- Magnetics Alternate Sourcing and Supplier Management Support
Prepare thorough documentation on new technologies around magnetics and design for manufacturability- Collaborate with Design Teams and ensure successful technology transfer
Graduate of Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering- with at least 2 years of relevant work experience in electrical and mechanical design engineering
Knowledgeable of CAD software
- Basic knowledge of 3D (Creo/SolidWorks) software
Team player in a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment with a strong sense of ownership- Good communication skills
