Overview
Our affiliated company, an international Climate Transition and Sustainable Finance boutique advisory firm, is hiring a self-driven and dynamic Senior Analyst/Country Rep to drive the project sourcing, deal origination, and program management efforts in our priority Southeast Asian countries for the development purposes of newly established funds.
The successful candidate will support in the end-to-end business development cycle from opportunity identification, deal sourcing, client engagement, origination, negotiation, deal structuring, and commercial/M&A execution for the firms climate transition project opportunities in high-emitting sectors including power and energy, coal mining, iron & steel, and infrastructure. We are also seeking opportunities for nature-based solutions to promote diversified development.
Main Roles and responsibilities
- Market Analysis and Strategy Development: Conduct market research to spot emerging trends and risks in target sectors. Develop plans for project origination in line with company goals.
- Project Identification and Origination: Identify potential climate transition projects across sectors. Build a strong pipeline through proactive market engagement.
- Due Diligence and Evaluation: Collaborate for project feasibility assessment. Lead due diligence processes for identified projects.
And also support the following:
- Proposal Development and Negotiation: Prepare and present project proposals to executives. Negotiate terms with project developers for favorable agreements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders. Represent the company at industry events to expand networks.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in a prominent or specialized firm within investment banking, consulting, energy, mining, iron, steel, or nature-based solutions industries.
- Demonstrated success in supporting business growth, originating and developing deals, finalizing transactions, and overseeing project implementation or financial deals.
- Comprehensive experience in end-to-end deal sourcing for M&A or fundraising.
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical or managerial field, Master preferred.
- Proficiency in areas such as energy efficiency infrastructure, renewable energy, and decarbonization, particularly within high-emission industrial sectors like coal mining, iron, and steel.
- A solid grasp of market dynamics and regulatory frameworks concerning industry decarbonization.
- Possess a deep understanding and enthusiasm for climate transition in various sectors including power and energy, industrial, infrastructure, and renewables.
- Located in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, or Thailand, with familiarity with the local community and culture, and fluent in the native language.
