Logistics Supervisor

Job Summary:

Manage daily Airfreight/ Seafreight operations and port requirements. Plan and strategize for efficient airfreight and port operations. Communicate with airline personnel for compliance and loading to meet SLA. Provide daily direction and resolve any port issues.

• Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure airfreight staff and port coordinator are trained and performs daily task in accordance to company processes and directives. All airfreight shipments are correctly distributed in carriers based on flight schedule to meet lead time requirement.

• Assist NCR deputy division head for cost efficient use of carriers.

Coordinate with other divisions for on time payment of port fees and sufficient Airline Credit fund. Check on correct data for chargeable weight and compliance of airfreight staff on checking of data during acceptance at ports.

• Coordinate with branches for on time retrieval of cargoes and containers from ports.

Communicate with Airline personnel for Airfreight issues and requirements. Communicate with Airlines for on time loading and resolve offloaded cargoes.

• Report any port issues and recommend resolution.

Be updated on any airline and port updates that may affect forwarders. Align current operation with any airline and port requirement.

• Monitor and do timely reports on airfreight, Roro and SF container loading status.

Ensure CIS is updated and coordinate with other divisions for process alignment and efficient loading to carriers.

• Ensure a cost-efficient use of resources and budget. Do an analysis and recommend strategies that will result to efficiency.

Take a lead in aligning all divisions for efficient Airfreight and port operations.

• Ensure compliance to all company policies and directives.

Perform other tasks as may be assigned by management.

• Job Specifications:

College graduate Bachelor's Degree

• 1-2 yrs supervisory level in Airlines & port operations

Strong networking, communication and coordination skills

• Basic knowledge of IT/Technology Applications
