Job Description:

The Logistics Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and logistics functions. This role ensures efficient and effective storage, handling, and distribution of goods, maintains inventory accuracy and ensures timely delivery of products.
  • Duties and Responsibilities
  • Logistics Planning and Coordination:

Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure the efficient transportation and storage of goods.

Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to arrange timely deliveries and shipments.

Point of contact for Drivers and giving drivers a full debrief and organizing vehicle checks.
  • Warehouse Management:

In charge of the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse section involving, receiving, stocking, storekeeping, stock takes, inventory taking, issuances, and dispatching.

Ensure the quality, safety, and cleanliness of the area warehouse and other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Organize and maintain the warehouse layout to ensure efficient and orderly storage and retrieval of goods.

Coordinate the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and facilities.
  • Transportation Management:

Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate shipments.

Manage relationships with transportation providers and negotiate contracts and rates.

Monitor the performance of carriers and address any issues related to delays, damages, or service quality.

Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Order Fulfillment:

Oversee the order processing and fulfillment process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Oversee the preparation of shipping documents, such as bills of lading and packing lists.

Track shipments and resolve any issues related to delays or damages.

Coordinate with customs and regulatory authorities for import/export activities.
  • Cost Management:

Monitor and control logistics costs, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory expenses.

Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Prepare and manage the logistics budget.
  • Storage and Organization:

Ensure products are stored in the correct locations and in an organized manner.

Maintain clean and orderly warehouse areas.

Selecting proper storage areas and store items in bins, racks, shelves, and floor or yard areas.

Implement and follow proper storage procedures to prevent damage or loss of goods.
  • Quality Control and Safety Compliance:

Inspect products for defects, damages, or discrepancies.

Report any quality issues to the Supply Chain Department Manager.

Follow quality control procedures to ensure products meet company standards.

Identifying operational issues, potential problems, and opportunities.

Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Operate warehouse equipment safely and responsibly.

Comply with company policies and regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Criteria:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse and logistics management.

Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Skills and Competencies:

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to [weight] pounds.

Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Standing, walking, and other physical activities for extended periods.
  • Work Environment:

Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.

Regular interaction with warehouse staff, delivery personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Additional Information:

Must have a valid driver's license.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php25,
  • 00 - Php32,000.00 per month
