Job Summary
- As a Liquidity Trader under the Treasury Group's Reserves and Liquidity Management Segment (RLMS), you will be at the forefront of managing the bank's liquidity position. You'll need to be thorough, quick on your feet, in-sync with your team and make crucial decisions under pressure. How will you contribute
- Monitor and Manage: Oversee daily and intraday funding and deployment requirements and execute trades in the money, securities and foreign exchange markets.
- Analyze and Act: Integrate the bank's growth plans with an analysis of interest rate trends, economic data, and regulatory requirements to have an informed funding and deployment plan.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with internal teams and other business units on business plans, transactions and regulatory developments.
- Innovate and Implement: Develop process improvements via automation, data management and spreadsheet design.
- Report and Present: Prepare and present detailed reports on liquidity positions and trading activities.
What will make you successful
- A recent graduate with a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Commerce Accountancy or related field.
- Someone who is alert, thorough, able to handle multiple tasks and work under time pressure.
- Possesses analytical skills and an interest in financial markets.
- Works well in a team and with individuals outside of the Treasury Group.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software is a plus.
