JOB SUMMARY:The Line Cook is responsible for setting up the prep station, cooking and maintaining sanitation standards. He is expected to prepare and cook food based on client requirements.
- Cook dishes as indicated in the standardized recipes.
Set up stock and store food items and other necessary supplies.
- Perform portion control and minimize waste to keep the cost within the forecasted range.
Repurpose waste items such as vegetable peels into sauces and stocks.- Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner by restocking ingredients at work station and meeting prep times to ensure smooth delivery
Comply with applicable sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products- Performs other tasks as Line Cook assigned by CDP or Team Leader.
- At least have (2) years of experience in kitchen operation
Familiar with Food Safety Practices- Has the ability to work under pressure
Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
