Job Summary
The Light Technician is responsible for setting up and managing lighting equipment for live streaming sessions on various social media and e-commerce platforms, including TikTok, Shopee, Lazada, and Facebook. This role ensures optimal lighting to enhance visual quality, support product presentations, and create an engaging viewer experience for live audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Lighting Setup And Adjustment
Prepare, set up, and adjust lighting equipment to achieve ideal brightness, contrast, and color balance for each live session.
Adapt lighting setups according to the platform's requirements and the specific products or themes being showcased.
On-Site Support During Live Sessions
Monitor lighting conditions during live broadcasts to ensure consistent quality and make real-time adjustments as needed.
Work closely with the production team and live hosts to meet visual standards and enhance presentation quality.
Equipment Maintenance And Troubleshooting
Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of lighting equipment to prevent malfunctions.
Quickly troubleshoot and resolve any lighting issues during live sessions to minimize disruptions.
Creative Lighting Techniques
Implement creative lighting techniques to enhance the visual appeal of live streams, creating mood, focus, and dynamic effects.
Collaborate with content creators and videographers to experiment with lighting setups that complement the brand's aesthetic and goals.
Coordination With The Production Team
Collaborate with the camera operators, sound technicians, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of lighting with audio and visuals.
Participate in pre-stream meetings to understand the requirements for each session and prepare accordingly.
Quality Control And Improvement
Continuously assess the effectiveness of lighting setups and recommend improvements based on viewer feedback and streaming analytics.
Stay updated with new lighting technologies and trends to enhance production quality.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Light Technician, preferably in a live streaming, social media, or e-commerce setting.
Strong understanding of lighting equipment, including LED panels, spotlights, ring lights, and color filters.
Ability to make quick, precise adjustments during live events to maintain lighting quality.
Basic knowledge of camera settings and live streaming technology is an advantage.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to changing lighting needs.
