Job Purpose:Assists the Corporate Counsel in drafting and reviewing contracts, conducting research on relevant laws and regulations, and providing legal advice to management.
- As Data Protection Officer (DPO)
He/she will be responsible for ensuring the Club's compliance with applicable laws and regulations on data privacy and security.
- Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Drafts, analyzes, and reviews contracts, agreements, and applications with government agencies and local government offices, notices, letters, legal opinions, affidavits, manuals, and other documents and standard forms;- Provides legal advice and guidance to management on all legal issues;
Conducts research and analyzes legal issues and advises management on the legal implications of their decisions;
- Monitors changes in laws and regulations and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
Performs other duties and tasks that the Corporate Counsel may assign occasionally, e.g. SEC transactions, BIR, etc.
- As Data Privacy Officer (DPO)
Monitors the Club's personal data processing activities in order to ensure compliance with applicable personal data privacy laws and regulations, including the conduct of periodic internal audits and review to ensure that all the Club's data privacy policies are adequately implemented by its employees and authorized agents;- Acts as a liaison between the Club and the regulatory and accrediting bodies, and is in charge of the applicable registration, notification, and reportorial requirements mandated by the Data Privacy Act, as well as any other applicable data privacy laws and regulations;
Develop, establish, and review policies and procedures for the exercise by data subjects of their rights under the Data Privacy Act and other applicable laws and regulations on personal data privacy;
- Acts as the primary point of contact whom data subject may coordinate and consult with for all concerns relating to their data;
Formulates capacity building, orientation, and training programs for employees, agents, or representatives of the Club regarding personal data privacy and security policies;- Prepares and files the annual report of the summary of documented security incidents and personal data breaches, if any, as required under the Data Privacy Act, and of compliance with other requirements that may be provided in other issuances of the National Privacy Commission;
Performs other duties and tasks that may be assigned by the Corporate Counsel and/or Club that will further the interest of data privacy and security and uphold the rights of the data subjects.
- Qualification Requirements:
At least five (5) years of work experience in data protection compliance or related field.
- Knowledge and experience in contract review and drafting.
Knowledge and experience in compliance with labor/regulatory requirements.- Knowledge and experience in legal research, preparing legal opinions and applications before government agencies and local government offices, drafting and reviewing affidavits, legal notices, demand letters, etc.
