We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team. As a Legal Assistant (Bar Passer) play a pivotal role in managing referral relationships and providing legal support to our esteemed legal team. This role requires a strong foundation in labor and employment law as a Bar passer, exceptional communication skills, and proficiency in handling numerical data. Your contributions will directly impact the firm's reputation for excellence, client satisfaction, and accurate case management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Referral Management: Develop and nurture strong relationships with external partners, including medical professionals, insurance agents, and referral sources, to facilitate a consistent influx of cases. Utilize your exceptional communication skills to establish trust within the legal community.
Legal Support: Provide comprehensive legal assistance to attorneys in labor and employment cases, including legal research, document drafting, preparation of legal pleadings, and correspondence. Leverage your Bar passage to contribute effectively to case strategies.
Numerical Proficiency: Utilize your strong numerical skills to manage financial aspects of personal injury cases, such as settlement calculations, medical bill analysis, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Client Engagement: Act as a liaison between clients, referral partners, and our legal team. Effectively communicate our firm's capabilities and dedication to exceptional client service.
Communication Excellence: Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, maintaining clarity and accuracy in all correspondence with clients, referral partners, and internal team members.
Document Management: Organize and maintain case files, ensuring that all relevant documentation is correctly filed and accessible to the legal team.
Client Support: Provide responsive and compassionate support to clients, addressing inquiries, keeping them informed about case progress, and ensuring their needs are met.
Collaborative Dynamics: Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure cohesive case management and excellent client representation.
Maintaining Confidentiality: Uphold the highest standards of client confidentiality and ethical conduct in all interactions and tasks.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Law, Juris Doctor or any related field
Demonstrated proficiency in personal injury law, ideally gained through legal internships, clerkships, or related work experience.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Proficiency in legal research, document preparation, and numerical calculations.
Compassionate and client-focused demeanor.
Ethical conduct and the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
