Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Juris Doctor Degree
- Experience Required
- At least 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources specializing in Labor Relations/Legal
- Training/Seminars Required
- Training and/or seminars related to the Development and Implementation of HR Policies, Employee Relations, Philippine Labor Laws, or any related topics are an advantage
- Required Professional Certification or Licensure
- Preferably a Bar Exam Passer, Leadership and Industry certifications are also an advantage
- Technical Competencies
- Thorough understanding of the Philippine labor law, regulations, and guidelines related to HR and contract negotiations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Responsibilities
I. JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY:
Shall be responsible for monitoring and/or advising on all legal matters, contracts, and agreements. The Legal Officer shall also ensure the company complies with the statutory and corporate governance practices and guidelines as observed in the manufacturing industry.
Legal Management
- Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements
- Draft a wide variety of legal agreements
- Provide advice on corporate legal issues and business matters
- Provide internal advisory services to the business units and departments within the Company
- Provide commercial legal support to all departmental projects and job functions
- Ensure the development of service level agreements for service support and delivery
- Monitor the maintenance of the registers and other records required to be maintained by the Company
- Assist in the development of guidelines, policies, procedures
- Analyze and review legal agreements, legislation and documents
- Review and advice management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures
- Ensure (internal & external) compliance with laid down guidelines, policies and procedures; investigate issues of non-compliance as may be required
- Provide advice and guidance to management as needed during labor relations contract negotiations, including drafting proposals and facilitating meetings with union representatives
- Oversee collective bargaining procedures, including drafting, reviewing and modifying proposals, verifying legal contract terminology and suggesting additional rules and regulations as necessary
Administrative Tasks
- Communicate with internal stakeholders, gathering necessary documents and information in building and settling legal issues within the department.
- Conduct all initial research and draft legal narrative reports

- Facilitate notarization of documents
- Oversee various clerical tasks, including making copies, sending emails and maintaining appointment schedules
