A taste of what the role entails:
As a Learning Content Developer, you will apply your broad expertise and knowledge of Learning content to deliver the following responsibilities:
- Building, engaging, informational, and visually compelling learning experiences.
- Working across teams to ensure that all training materials are consistent, up-to-date, and aligning with the larger team and company goals.
- Establishing positive relationships with SMEs and other partners to ensure learning experiences are designed to improve learner outcomes.
- Finding new ways to produce content that scales and resonates with our various audiences
- Using learning methodology to create, develop, and manage content projects through a prioritised backlog and achievable milestones
- Contribute to the development of learning initiatives which are cost effective, timely and meet agreed quality standards
- Set achievable and manageable milestones
- Work across the solutions team to manage stakeholder expectations throughout content development and adherence to timelines
- Develop training materials using varied authoring tools that are accessible and user-friendly
- Ensure quality assurance according to scope requirements and design standards
- Stay up to date with latest content development approaches, tools and modalities
- Deploy content in Telstra LMS according to scope
- During the content development process, verify information provided via reliable sources
- Ensure quality of content by review processes that include detection and correction of errors
- Maintains learning catalogue to ensure the content reflects the most relevant materials, regulations, and best practices.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Essential Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience building and maintaining training materials.
- Experience with Articulate or other similar eLearning development software.
- Experience with eLearning training programming specifications and requirements (SCORM, AICC, Tin Can API) and how they interface with Learning Management Systems
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects)
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
- Established methods for working with SMEs to refine learning content.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of eLearning course creation and design.
- Understanding of adult learning and instructional design principles.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently when necessary.
- Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong time management skills
Highly Desirable Qualifications
- Skilled in script writing
- Familiarity with art direction, video/audio editing, and interactive game/activity building
- Experience with Agile Instructional design
- Ability to handle complex projects and make decisions independently
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams of internal and external project contributors
- Ability to handle complex projects and make decisions independently
- Experience with learning evaluation and measurement, including survey administration platforms and tools
- Experience in development and evaluations of learning tools that extend beyond the learning content
- Experience in designing and building SharePoint sites
