About The Role
The Lead Supply Chain is integral to the successful delivery of each GBS Supply Chain team, serving as a vital link between Supply Chain GBS and various support functions, including Finance, Accounts Payable, IT, and GPDO.
Key responsibilities include analyzing functional capabilities, identifying optimization opportunities, and enhancing performance. Additionally, the role supports Supply Chain Leadership in ensuring that the operationalization of initiatives aligns with GBS requirements, Group mandates, and overall strategy.

What you will be doing
- Delivery of Supply Chain GBS teams scope against key metrics and drivers.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, mentor to encourage drive toward best practice and ensuring full compliance.
- Supports delivery of Business Management and Supply Chain strategy within region.
- Identifies and executes innovative supply chain opportunities to achieve customer delivery commitments and manage multiple distribution channels.
- Owns 3rd party business management, formalised supplier performance management processes (where applicable) and invoice validation.
- Inputs and analyses of breakaway initiatives as well as other continuous improvement activities affecting procedures and processes for shipping and other logistics activity (Supply Chain Optimisation).
- Looks for ways to increase efficiency and productivity of warehouse operations and improved accuracy to supply activities, making best use of the tools available and leads team in all internal audit processes and procedures.
- Works with Manager - Planning and GDPO to monitor demand requirements from 1-24 months through Sales & Operations Planning processes.
- Supports Procurement team, ensuring Global Procurement Standard processes and procedures are adopted.
- Works with Logistics Team to execute the Global Transportation Plan to ensure product is moved appropriately to meet demand.
- Ensures contracts are aligned between Category Management and Global Logistics for all supply activity.
- Leads internal quote management for transactional enquiries and ensure full adherence to Orica contract sign off processes tracking spend analysis and reporting.
- Support Supply Chain Leadership with regards to internal audit queries.
What you will bring
- Minimum of 5 years experience within Manufacturing, Mining, Oil & Gas, Industrial, or other relevant organisations.
- Relevant experience working within complex, multinational matrix environments.
- Degree qualified. Procurement/Supply Chain/Logistics Management or Commercial Management desirable.
- Experience using SAP supply chain transactions for analytical and reporting purposes.
- Previous leadership experience highly desirable.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel for analytical and modelling purposes highly regarded.
- Feels comfortable working with a degree of autonomy in remote team structures.
- Relationship and stakeholder management experience.
- Strategy development and implementation experience.
- Strong analytical, business acumen, problem-solving, relationship, and negotiation skills with a customer service focus.
- Well-developed planning and organisational skills.
