Your role
As a Software Engineer Lead, you will be a key member of the Technology Team, working closely alongside business leaders, engineers, and various project stakeholders to ensure efficiency and the timely delivery of all deliverables.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the software development in collaboration with architects, product team, design team, and developer leads.
- Collaborate with the product, and design team in defining frontend requirements, designing and developing frontend UI and UX, screen flows, mockups, and other software design artifacts.
- Collaborate with the rest of the development team in designing database schema, data structures, interaction between applications and services, and other software design artifacts.
- Work with the architecture team to decide on the technology stack, languages, frameworks, and design patterns.
- Development of backend and frontend software for assigned projects, and related tasks to development such as, but not limited to writing tests, doing unit testing, doing integration testing, writing automation, and development of reusable components.
- Uphold standards when writing code to ensure that the software is maintainable, robust, scalable, and testable. Ensure optimal performance of software solutions.
- Ensure adherence of software artifacts to architecture by conducting code and implementation reviews.
- Ensure compatibility and stability of software releases. Ensure that development deliverables are deployed and production-ready.
- Participate in sprint planning, and backlog grooming to help ensure that stories, acceptance criteria, and tasks, are well defined, and the time and effort needed are properly estimated.
- Align deliverables with project stakeholders and provide regular updates. Attend regular standups, and committee meetings as needed.
- Provide regular updates and ensure regular communications with assigned leads.
- Communicate and document technical challenges, risks, and recommendations.
- Oversee the successful release of Talino products with a focus on software delivery.
- Perform other related functions, as deemed necessary and as agreed by all parties
- Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of project management experience
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React, and Amber.
- Proficiency with server-side languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, PHP, and .Net.
- Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
