We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our client's small, talented, creative team of professionals. The QA Specialist works with all members of the studio's multidisciplinary team including game design, digital graphic arts, audio engineering, and software engineering development. The specialist tests all aspects of a game, with a mindset that is looking to break all features of the game, is collaborative in identifying and mitigating risks, and discovers solutions to all the quality issues detected throughout the multiple phases of game development.
Develop new robust test plans, leveraging existing test plans wherever possible.
- Write ISO level test case requirements such that any member of the team can execute the specific test.
Visualize and write comprehensive test requirements for edge-case testing.- Possess a thorough understanding of feature implementation strategy to document methods for testing.
Comprehend, document, and create any additional tests necessary to ensure all areas impacted by developer refactoring, bug fixing, or rework will not introduce additional defects in other areas of the game.
- Monitor code modifications and proactively consider impacts to all areas of the game to determine applicable new test cases, or re-execution of existing test cases previously completed to mitigate the risks added by the developer or other members of the studio.
Identify and leverage any new bugs from games to ensure all other applicable test plans capture the risk/item, such that the consistencies and inconsistencies between various games are well understood and applicable tests are verified.- Recognize opportunities in workflow efficiencies to maximize quality and turnaround of features from start to finish.
Collaborate closely with the game designers on all aspects of the game.
3 years of experience in slot game testing or gaming related quality assurance test environments- 3 years of experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and bug tracking software tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, Mantis, FogBugz, or equivalent
Must be familiar with Agile and Scrum methodology
- Must be willing to work as an integral part of a team in an open, collaborative style
Exceptional writing skills
- Strong communication skills
