About The Role
To lead, develop and manage the performance of the Global Mobility Operations team in Manila to deliver high quality Global Mobility (GM) operation services, ensuring timely, accurate and effective execution of acitivites, in accordance with the Operational Plan, Group Level Documents, Standard Operating Procedures and legislation.
- Manage, motivate, coach and develop a team of global mobility specialists in Manila to deliver world class service against performance targets to ensure service delivery is compliant, timely and customer-focussed whilst maintaining operational discipline. Supports the team with prioritising workload and requests.
- Develop and enable GM operations team members through leadership and effective performance management. Support organisational change through effective change management with the team.
- Assist with specialist technical subject matter expertise in the area of global mobility including tax, immigration and relocation, and external legal, regulatory and reporting requirements, seeking Global Mobility Reward/SME advice as required.
- Support the GM operations team with resolving complex employee and leader global mobility queries and be the point of escalation for the business on service delivery and compliance issues.
- Lead the delivery, administration and execution of BHPs global mobility program, policies and procedures
- Produce and analyse relevant reports on operational and management Key Performance Indicators where required.
- Monitor, govern and ensure alignment and compliance with internal controls including the Operational Plan, Group Level Documents, agreements, systems, standards and procedures, and legislative compliance. Ensure that GM processes are documented and standards are maintained.
- Collaborate closely to design and implement end to end processes across multiple parts of our function, including but not limited to IA Payroll.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Proactively seek opportunities to simplify, remove duplication and minimise hand-offs to enhance standardisation and efficiency.
- Identify risks and provide input into mitigations and action planning. Ensure Risk Management protocols are incorporated into operational activities
- Maintain good working relationships with peers within the BHP HR community (GBS HR, Global Reward, HRBPs, HR Operations, Sub-Function SMEs).
About You
- Degree or equivalent education required and/or international reward roles
- Deep experience with the management and understanding of global mobility programs and policies
- Excellent understanding of reporting requirements and governance issues as they relate to tax and immigration and understanding of global jurisdictional differences, legislation and regulations
- Extensive technical experience in global mobility concepts, methodologies and approaches as well as strong people management (directly or indirectly) in a globl company.
- Good understanding of international HR and payroll processes, reporting and data management.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously while prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in use of the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Microsoft Excel Project management skills an advantage. Experience in SAP and AssignmentPro (or equivalent) preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written
