Job Description: Lead Design Architect
- Position Overview: The Lead Design Architect is responsible for overseeing the architectural design and development of complex projects, ensuring innovative and functional design solutions that meet client needs and regulatory requirements. This role involves leading a team of architects and designers, coordinating with other departments, and managing all phases of the design process from concept through completion.
Lead and manage the design team throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and communicate the overall design vision and strategy.
Ensure design integrity and consistency throughout the project.
Create innovative design concepts that align with client objectives.- Oversee the development of detailed architectural plans and specifications.
Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Engage with clients to understand their needs and objectives.
- Present design concepts and progress updates to clients.
Address client concerns and incorporate feedback into the design process.
- Coordination and Collaboration:
Coordinate with engineering, construction, and other departments to ensure design feasibility.- Collaborate with external consultants and stakeholders.
Manage project timelines and ensure adherence to schedules.
Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals for projects.
Mentor and guide junior architects and designers.
- Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.
Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards of design and execution.- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address issues.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.- Licensed Architect with a minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design.
Proven experience in leading design teams and managing complex projects.
- Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).
Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards.- Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification.
