Job Description
We are presently seeking Lead Cost Managers/ Senior Cost Managers with proven local delivery experience to join our team based in Saudi Arabia based team. The position will be located in Tabuk, a remote area, and attractive benefits will be provided.
The ideal applicant will have a strong background in Quantity Surveying, particularly focused on pre contract works, ideally gained through the delivery of complex infrastructure / real estate projects. Experience within a professional consultancy is preferred, although individuals with background in other areas, such as working for main contractors, are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate and develop good relationships with clients and stakeholders internally and externally
- Responsible for pre - contract quantity surveying duties
- Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan
- Tendering and procuring, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, putting the preliminaries together, tender analysis, producing the tender report and compiling the contractual documents
- Negotiating and agreeing final accounts
- Where appropriate, leading a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities
- Supporting developing and securing new business opportunities as required.
Qualifications
- A recognised degree qualification in Quantity Surveying (or similar).
- MRICS accreditation or similar (preferred).
- Relevant work experience, ideally in a consultancy environment.
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and where appropriate lead a team
- Experience of leading and successfully delivering cost management commissions in the Middle East market
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Highly motivated and driven with a passion for your profession and the difference it can make to your clients.
