Summary Of Role
SunPower is seeking a
Lead Accountant for the Asset Management Services Accounting based in the Philippines. The Lead Accountant reports to the Asset Management Services Accounting Manager and will be responsible for providing full accounting support for Asset Management Services Accounting and has primary ownership of providing critical finance services such as accounting support for the Residential and Commercial solar energy companies, month-end and quarter-end closing processes, financial statement preparation and review, supporting audit requests, supporting user access testing, if required and any other relevant side project. The role includes interfacing with operations, tax, funding, and other teams as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide real-time accounting, reporting and analysis, including maintaining and improving accounting and reporting systems, managing relationships and overseeing bookkeeping performed by Global Business & Financial Services (GBFS) team in the Philippines.
- Assist with the supervision, review, and validation of daily, weekly, and monthly transactions of the Asset Management Services Accounting function.
- Coordination and performance of period-end close procedures for Asset Management Services Accounting.
- Ensure strong accounting processes for Asset Management Services Accounting.
- Assist with month-end review requirements and timely completion of account reconciliations, journal entries, etc.
- Review and support various account fluctuation analyses needed for quarterly financial reporting and Board of Directors meetings.
- Assist and participate in year-end audit requests including review and validation of audit requirements.
- Coordinate with Technology, Subledger, and General ledger Support Teams for changes required to the system which includes updated documentation and performance of user acceptance testing.
- Supervise and coordinate data cleanup activities, as applicable.
- Provide analytical support for business decisions and participate/lead special projects and process improvement initiatives for the group.
- Other finance and audit duties, as assigned.
- Always comply with the Environment, Health and Safety, and Company Quality standards, rules and regulations
- Perform other duties that may be assigned.
Related Experience And Educational Requirements
- Graduate of BS Accountancy, preferably CPA. The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
- With 3-5 years working experience in Lease Accounting and other related accounting activities.
- Knowledge of SFDC, InfoLease System, MS Dynamics processes, and documentation.
- Able to handle multiple projects with the ability to budget time productively.
- Strong Excel skills, especially graphing, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and converting non-Excel data to Excel.
- Can work well at different levels of the organization.
- Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Consistently strives to achieve organizational goals, individual objectives, or defined metrics that deliver business results that drive the business forward.
- Ability to quickly problem solve and redefine objectives when organizational priorities evolve.

- This is an FTE position.
- Candidate must be willing to work in Binan Laguna
- Candidate must be legally entitled to work and reside in the Philippines.
- Candidate must be willing to render overtime as business requires (weekends, US/PH holidays)
- Candidate must be flexible to work on a night shift schedule supporting North America region.
- Candidate will be on flexible work arrangement (combination of onsite and remote work) (if applicable depending on the nature of the job)
