Marcura is looking for Laytime Analysts to carry out the Laytime/Demurrage calculations. The role requires you to have a good understanding of Charterparties, key laytime/demurrage terms, provisions and contracts related to the voyage. Knowledge and understanding of terminology used in the Wet Trade industry, marine and terminal operations is also a requirement.
Responsibilities
Good understanding of contracts, charter parties and key Laytime/ demurrage provisions and the terminology associated with Laytime in order to perform an accurate calculations.
Knowledge of various navigation (River, Canal, etc) & cargo operations related to Tanker trade.
Ensuring Customers instructions are being followed in order to avoid any errors during the processing of the laytime
Identify issues that should be included in the Laytime-Desk practices and procedures so that it could help the other team members with a similar situation
Identify process methodologies in order to assist the Team Leader to improve both productivity and quality.
Co-ordinating with the documentation team for accuracy in document collection in order not to miss-out on any documents requirement as per the CP / contracts and also ensuring that laytime is submitted within the time bar.
This is what we really need from you:
A graduate with minimum 2- years work experience with a Shipping company of which atleast 1 years core experience in Laytime on a full time basis (preferably doing laytime for a vessel Owner).
Degree in shipping / MICS will be an added advantage
Good knowledge of written & spoken English
Ability to analyse data accurately and make suggestions & improvement
Technology sound with regards to using digital applications
Experience from remote working or collaborating virtually
