Job Description
As a Real Estate Title Researcher, you will regularly interface with various members of our Operations team, including directors and project managers, handling tasks like title abstracting, lease acquisitions, and GIS support. Your day-to-day will involve researching land records, preparing lease documents, generating leads, and contributing to GIS projects. This role requires collaboration via video calls, detailed analysis, and the ability to adapt to different project needs. You will gain experience across multiple facets of land management in the energy sector, contributing directly to our operations and strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive research on land titles, ownership, and potential encumbrances using a variety of sources, ensuring accurate and reliable data for project needs.
Participate in preparing lease agreements and contracts, securing exploration and production rights, and focusing on ethical practices and organizational goals.
Efficiently organize and maintain critical records of all land-related documents, including leases, contracts, titles, and communication logs, in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Assist in the analysis of land and lease data to support strategic planning, contributing to reports and presentations that inform decision-making processes within the organization.
Work collaboratively with teams across departments to ensure a cohesive approach to land acquisition and management, aligning project objectives with the company's strategic goals.
Pursue ongoing learning to build expertise in the legal, regulatory, and environmental aspects of land management.
Mandatory Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any field
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
Excellent written and verbal skills in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word), Google (Sheets/Docs), and Adobe Acrobat
Access to a computer equipped with a reliable camera, microphone, and internet connection
Preferred Qualifications
Degrees or professional experience in business, legal, geography, or environmental science
