Job Summary: As a Business Development Officer specializing in Land Acquisition, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring suitable land parcels for our organization's development projects. You will play a crucial role in expanding our land portfolio, negotiating land deals, and fostering relationships with landowners, brokers, and relevant stakeholders.
- Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct thorough market research to identify potential land opportunities aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.- Analyze market trends, property values, and demographics to assess the feasibility and potential of land acquisitions.
- Land Identification and Evaluation:
Proactively identify and evaluate land parcels suitable for development or investment.- Assess zoning regulations, environmental impact, and other relevant factors to determine suitability.
Negotiation and Acquisition:- Lead negotiations with landowners, developers, brokers, and other parties to acquire land at favorable terms.
Prepare and present offers, negotiate purchase agreements, and finalize transactions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, local authorities, brokers, and other stakeholders.- Collaborate with legal, finance, and other internal teams to ensure smooth acquisition processes.
- Due Diligence and Compliance:
Conduct due diligence investigations on potential land acquisitions, including legal, financial, and regulatory aspects.- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, permits, and regulations related to land acquisition.
Coordinate with development teams to align land acquisition efforts with project timelines and requirements.- Provide support and input during project planning and design phases.
- Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to land acquisitions.- Prepare regular updates and presentations for senior management on acquisition progress and potential opportunities.
- Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or related field- Proven experience in land acquisition, real estate development, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of real estate laws, zoning regulations, and land use planning.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships.
Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research and financial analysis.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
