Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists the analysts during the performance of laboratory procedures.
Maintains the cleanliness, safety and order of the laboratory supplies, instruments and equipment of their respective areas of assignment.- Initially screens the STB and 4-layer packaging for suitability to proceed to the final inspection or screening in terms of appropriateness and completeness of supporting documents, and compliance with proper storage and packaging requirements.
Assists the Laboratory Supervisor in conducting risk assessment of the laboratory.
- Takes charge in ensuring that appropriate protocols on PPE are observed
Initially manages generated wastes at their respective workstations.- Reports and endorses to the Laboratory Supervisor all rejected specimens for disposal, for notification to the referring HCF.
Performs other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Receives the specimens in the PCR lab, ensures completeness and compatibility of data.
Job Specification:
- Preferably, a graduate of Medical Technology
Must have training certificates on Biosafety and Biosecurity- Preferably at least six (6) months of work experience.
