Kitchen Supervisor Set kitchen priorities, set production goals, schedule production, and supervise cooks
Promote communication in the kitchen that leads to productive, safe work
Comply with health and safety regulations for production, holding, handling, and labeling
Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the kitchen and storage areas
Ensure that kitchen equipment is in working order and is properly used
Purchase ingredients for cooking, baking and equipment in accordance with the Purchasing Admin
Accurately price recipes to meet margin goals
Ensure timely response, ordering and processing of catering and special orders for events
Coordinate with accounting weekly and monthly inventory
Ensure that product ingredients are accurately communicated for labeling
Maintain refrigeration, wrapping systems, ovens, and other department equipment
Ensure that unsellable items are recorded and returned or disposed of following established procedures
Lead menu/recipe creation and pricing, documented
Ensure that department areas (shelves, bins, displays and storage areas) are in clean, orderly condition meeting Health Department and customer service standards
Conduct and document performance evaluations, performance issues and take corrective as needed following established policies
Schedule kitchen staff as per predetermined guidelines to meet departmental goals
Train and develop department staff as necessary to accomplish desired outcomes and document for HR files
Supervise Kitchen and Event staff workflow as per predetermined guidelines to meet departmental goals
Effectively manage through clear, direct, and respectful communications.
