Description
The Kitchen Staff plays a vital role in assisting our cooks and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and pantry areas. They will also provide aid to the management in the maintenance of the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen/pantry area.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Ensure that the food preparation and serving areas are clean and hygienic.
Wash kitchen utensils and other kitchen equipment or paraphernalia.
Dispose all waste materials, spoiled leftovers, if there are any, and other unwanted and unnecessary rubbish.
Maintain impeccable cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen by consistently ensuring the cleanliness of food preparation equipment, ingredients, kitchen floor, and all other kitchen tools and areas.
Efficiently sort, properly store, and effectively distribute ingredients, excess food, kitchen equipment or paraphernalia in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
Wash, peel, chop, cut, and cook foodstuffs for food assembly, and help prepare all necessary ingredients prior to cooking.
Organize linen laundry and other reusable materials.
Neatly and accordingly store kitchen utensils and other kitchen equipment or paraphernalia.
Any tasks that may be delegated by the superior.
Requirements
Strong knowledge and application of proper food handling procedures.
Up-to-date health certificate/health card issued by the local health center.
Must have a clean personal record and is well-disciplined.
Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere.
Amenable to work on shifting schedules.
