Salary: 40-60k plus performance bonus
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in a culinary role, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or management position.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and health standards.- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality food and service.
Proficiency in inventory management and cost control practices.- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not required.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Food Preparation and Quality Control:
- Supervise and coordinate food preparation activities, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
Monitor food presentation and portion sizes to maintain consistency.
- Staff Management:
- Supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and dishwashers.
Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and manage performance to ensure productivity and teamwork.
- Inventory and Ordering:
- Manage inventory levels and oversee ordering of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize waste and control costs.
- Kitchen Operations:
- Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure proper functioning of kitchen appliances.
Implement and enforce hygiene and safety standards in accordance with health regulations.
- Menu Development and Cost Control:
- Collaborate with the culinary team and management to develop menu items and specials.
Monitor food costs and portion sizes to optimize profitability without compromising quality.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Liaise with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service.
Communicate kitchen needs and concerns to management and address customer feedback promptly.
- Training and Development:
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to kitchen staff.
Foster a positive work environment and promote professional growth within the team.
