Kitchen maintenance technicians will be assigned as juniors to our current pool of Fabtech Service Technicians, specifically assigned to preventive maintenance services.
They will be subjected to at least one week of equipment familiarity and training, a one-month shadowing process, and two or three months assessment.
As a kitchen maintenance technician, their role is to perform preventive maintenance activities on kitchen equipment properly and familiarize their selves with the kitchen industry.
Their knowledge of electrical, gas, or refrigeration equipment will help them ensure that the dismantling, cleaning, and re-assembly of equipment is done correctly.
Shadowing under Service Technicians, they are expected to further enhance their technical knowledge of kitchen equipment.
They are expected to develop equipment mastery and maintenance procedures during their first 6-12 months. After which, the Kitchen Maintenance Technician may be re-evaluated, and can be deployed in other Service Department activities (installation, corrective maintenance) and be promoted as Service Technicians.
