JUNIOR WEB DEVELOPER (Shopify / Wordpress)

The Junior Web Developer for Shopify and Wordpress is tasked with leading the development of our agency's wide range of website projects, from informational to advanced e-commerce platforms. He / She is a creative and experienced developer who can deliver website projects through from design to development. Utilizing expertise in WordPress and Shopify, they will integrate provided content seamlessly and ensure timely project completion.

• Responsibilities:

Conceptualize and create intuitive, engaging, user-friendly and brand-consistent web experiences

• Develop responsive WordPress and Shopify websites using existing free and premium themes.

Customize websites to meet advanced requirements such as complex forms, booking systems, and unique features like memorial tools.

• Ensure adherence to wireframes and Figma designs provided, maintaining design integrity throughout development.

Collaborate closely with the content team to seamlessly integrate provided assets (photos, videos, written content) into the websites.

• Utilize project management tools (e.g. Clickup) to keep projects organized and transparent.

Deliver completed projects within the given timeframe from project initiation.

• Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in WordPress and Shopify development, with hands-on proficiency

• Good command over HTML, CSS, JS, and PHP for customizations and integrations

Proven ability to handle advanced website functionalities such as custom forms and booking systems.

• Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of projects, with examples of custom features and complex integrations.

Has a good eye for design and experience with Figma / Adobe XD is an advantage but not compulsory

• Knowledgeable in SEO fundamentals and tools to track website performance (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush)

Experience with website speed testing tools and techniques for optimization

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently without compromising quality.

• Super comfortable with basic server management - database creation, migrating sites, subdomains and managing DNS settings

Updated with the latest web development trends and technologies
