Job Description:The Junior Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating and assessing the creditworthiness of small business applicants seeking Merchant Cash Advances. This role involves analyzing financial statements, reviewing credit reports, and collaborating with the senior underwriting team to ensure thorough and accurate underwriting decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Review and analyze financial statements, bank statements, and credit reports of applicants.
- Assess the creditworthiness and risk of potential clients seeking Merchant Cash Advances.
Collaborate with the senior underwriting team to gather necessary information and documentation.- Maintain accurate and organized records of all underwriting activities and decisions.
Prepare detailed reports and summaries of underwriting findings for senior management.
- Communicate underwriting decisions and recommendations to the sales team.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.- Assist in the continuous improvement of underwriting processes and guidelines.
Perform other ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- Previous experience in underwriting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in using financial analysis software and MS Office Suite.- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
