What you'll be doing:
As a Junior Manager, he/she may handle segments, brands, and/or categories, manage the rolling three-year innovation strategies, handle end-to-end product development, facilitate product training and knowledge, develop activation and training assets, craft new stories/ energy to reignite assigned scope, and possibly spearhead creative developments. He must exhibit thorough understanding of the category, the business, the consumer, and the competitive environment. He must have the ability to handle multiple projects coordinated among different matrix functions, in a high-pressure environment. Key skills would be strategic-thinking, project management, and business analysis.
Key responsibilities:
Shaping growth strategy for the category/brand
Supports development and management of rolling three-year innovation and portfolio strategy and cadence for handled brands/ segments/ categories to achieve the target sales, profit, market share, and/or consumer KPI resultsManages portfolio of brand/ category handled with guardrails in concept count, SOL, productivity, pricing, GM, etc.Facilitates integration and alignment between market and global strategies, ensuring local market relevance of global strategiesConducts regular competitive review, exhibits extensive knowledge of external competitive environment; translates knowledge to actionable initiatives to gain market shareProvides omnichannel portfolio recommendations and product support
Delivering new products and developing brand building events for the category/brand
Spearheads end-to-end product development from conceptualization to launch in partnership with cross functional teams -- R&D, Packaging Engineering, Regional Finance, Regulatory, Commercial Marketing and Supply Chain and ensures timely delivery/ launchDelivers relevant innovation ideas and concepts (confirmed via IMI) to be filtered and vetted in Portfolio Planning and GateLands global innovation strategies to PH, ensuring market and consumer relevance, and supports adjustments and deviations as necessaryConsiders how to build inline products via new storytelling, creative revamps, EOVs, training etc.Evaluates campaign and/or new product launches post-mortem, with recommendations on way forward and learningDelivers to NPD numerical KPIs such as achieving thresholds, GM growth, pricing recommendation, sales and units growth, increase in market share, etc.
Leads creative development and training support for Innovation
Crafts creative brief for innovation concepts or existing product developments; Co-creates creative direction for regional product launchesDevelops launch support materials (brochure spreads, education videos, training materials etc.) with internal and external agenciesFacilitates training for innovation projects, developing for local jewels and localizing for global pick-ups
Leads the Matrix and Support Teams to support category KPIS: RGM ( Pricing and SOL), Supply Chain (Supportability), Sales Support ( Training) and New Product Development Team
Supply Chain: (1.) aligns with supply chain team on plans to protect supportability, issues substitutes to recover supportability gaps (2.) Aligns demand estimates with demand team for new productsSales Support (1.) Prepares FAB slide and training assets for all new products, for endorsement to training team (2). For local jewels, creates and aligns on full training plan and assets (3) For global pick-ups, cascades global training and activation support and creates locally-relevant supportRGM (1.) Aligns and provides insights on pricing opportunities for NPD to drive profit (2.) Tracks and monitors innovation concept count (SOL/ASOL) (3) builds to total cat GM targetCM Aligns (1) On brand and innovation strategies and resulting calendar (2) On flow plans, offers, pricing (3) On positioning, portfolio, activation plans and training supportOmni -- supports omnichannel expansion as needed
