What are the key responsibilities / activities of the role:
- Ensuring all income and expenditure is correctly accounted for within a robust control environment
- Prepare weekly pay-runs
- Bank reconciliations
- Processing Invoices and recording expenses
- Month end tasks such as accruals, prepayments, and maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Reconciliation of inter-company accounts, including raising any inter-company charges
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Booking review ensuring entries are booked to the correct legal entity
- Assist with publishing timely monthly financial information and variance analysis
- Input to budgets and forecasts
- Assist with the year-end statutory accounts and audit
- Ad hoc project work as required by a growing business
What is the scope of accountability for the role:
- Prepare weekly pay runs
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Bank reconciliations
- Transaction bookings
What are the essential skills, qualifications and experience required for the role
- Degree level education
- Previous Management accounting experience, with a grounding in Accounts Payable
- Strong skills and experience with accounting software (particularly experience in Xero ideally), and proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and Google Workspace
- Strong technical skills and financial reporting knowledge
- A love of data, technology and analytics.
- The ability to contribute individually, as well as part of the team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Able to communicate clearly and confidently in English, both verbally and in writing, with an international and diverse team
What are the desirable skills, qualifications and experience that would be beneficial for the role
- Experience working with Cryptocurrencies would be a plus
- Professional Qualification in Accounting viewed favourably
- Experience of Fintech industry
