As the Leasing Officer, creativity will be needed to be at work as you build
strategies to fill out the tenants of your mall assignment. You will not only be
required to fill out the tenants, but your mall should have the best tenant mix that
will attract consumers in your area. This will include but not limited to the ff:
- Help the Leasing and Operations Manager conceptualize, develop, and create
strategies, policies, projects, and procedures that will increase, improve, and
maximize tenant occupancy of the malls.
- Review, analyze, propose, and advise management and tenants on
product/service mix concepts, construction requirements and compliance
with contractual obligations.
- Oversee the administration and integration of sales and marketing functions
in order to ensure improvement of the performance of tenants, tenancy, and
leasing operations, for the purpose of actualizing target rental income budget
and planned occupancy levels.
- Achieve tenant satisfaction within the limits and conditions provided by the
mall management and other related regulations, company policies and
procedures, convention, and practices that have been established.
- Research new markets to evaluate potential tenant development.
Reviewing and negotiation of contracts.- Aggressively network with and talk to new and existing clients and maintain
a good and harmonious relationship with them.- Recommend effective strategies and networking activities that would
improve leasing activities for projects.- Review lease expiration dates and utilize Renewal Process Checklist to
deliver notices, which allows adequate time to schedule an appointment with
the Lessor to review and sign the new lease.- Review Management Agreements and coordinate renewal of expired
agreements.- Draft renewal Lease Agreements according to company policies.
