REPORT TO: The Jr. Interior Designer will report to the Principal Designer.
The Jr. Interior Designer creates design plans and drawings and supports the implementation of these by partner project teams and contractors.They aim to make the assigned space functional, safe and beautiful by careful selection and execution of design elements and in accordance with brand, retail space, and construction standards and guidlines.
- RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Closely coordinates with Principal Designer in conceptualizing and designing assigned projects, ensuring the client's goals and requirements for the project are met.- Sketch and draw up design plans and solutions.
Specify project CMF (colors,materials and finish ), such as paint laminates, lighting, furnitures, wall finishes, flooring and plumbing fixtures.
- Attend client meetings,understanding their design needs and preferences.
Adhere to project timelines,ensuring no delays in assigned phase.- Place orders for materials and oversee the installation of the design elements.
Ensure that projects cost stay within budget, finding creative solutions or alternatives. Is proactive in scouting and sourcing new and efficient suppliers for design requirements.
- Communicate project progress with stakeholders, providing updates and reports on a regular basis.
Coordinates with Business Development and assigned contractors regarding project plans and specifications.- Performs site visits before, during, and after construction, completing tasks such as measurement-taking, punchlisting , correcting and revising construction errors.
Stay constantly updated with interior design trends, best practice and industry changes.
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design and Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
- Fresh graduate and without Experience are welcome.
Portfolio of previous design work is a must.- Proficient in SketchUp, CAD and any rendering software programs.
Work well with a team.
- Strong attention to details.
Good project management skills.- Able to communicate and present effectively with/to people on all levels.
Able to coordinate with multiple teams and resolve any issues regarding operation and delay.
- Willing to go on field,travelling between head offices and project sites.
