Junior Interior Designer

Job Summary

As the Interior Designer, you will be a creative professional who transforms showrooms and indoor spaces into safe, functional, and visually appealing areas. You will be strategically plan space utilization, and actively select color palettes and lighting fixtures to cultivate an inviting ambiance in diverse settings.

The position holder shall undertake the following functions:

1. Develop creative concepts and design proposals for the showroom layout, displays, and product vignettes. Incorporate brand guidelines, product positioning strategies, and customer experience principles into the design process.

2. Utilize your expertise in space planning and interior design principles to optimize the layout of the showroom. Consider factors such as traffic flow, product visibility, and customer interaction zones to create an engaging and user-friendly environment.

3. Select appropriate fixtures, furniture, and accessories to complement the product displays and enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the showroom. Source materials and finishes that align with the company's brand identity and design vision.

4. Work closely with sales associates and product managers to integrate new products and collections into the showroom displays. Ensure that product presentations are cohesive, informative, and aligned with marketing initiatives.

5. Develop project budgets and timelines for showroom design initiatives. Monitor expenses, negotiate vendor contracts, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or design integrity.

6. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to oversee the installation and implementation of showroom designs. Ensure that designs are executed according to specifications and within the agreed-upon timeline.

7. Solicit feedback from stakeholders, customers, and internal teams to continuously improve showroom design and functionality.

8. Stay informed about industry trends, consumer preferences, and retail best practices related to showroom design and visual merchandising. Incorporate innovative ideas and design concepts to keep the showroom experience fresh and engaging.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree ( Master's Degree or Board Passer) in Architecture, Fine Arts, Interior Design or related field
• With 2-3 years of experience in showroom design, retail merchandising or visual design coordinator
• Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong Knowledge of interior design principles, space planning techniques, and retail aesthetics.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Creative flair and a passion for creating compelling visual experiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Project management skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and manage budgets.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
