Job Summary :
Collect, collate, summarize and evaluate epidemiological data on disease occurrence in the farm operations. Assists respective departments in monitoring and evaluation of disease prevention and control programs under the guidance of his immediate superior.
- Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct farm visits or sanitation audits of company facilities with minimum supervision.
Perform necropsy procedure under all circumstances as a basic requirement of his job.
Monitors the implementation of approved vaccination and medication programs in his department.
Submits weekly progress reports, monthly, quarterly, yearly and / or special incidence reports as required by the department head.
Performs disease investigations based on available data, and clinical findings on the causes of morbidities, mortalities, and poor flock performance in collaboration with other epidemiologist and other concerned personnel in his assigned department.
Join the AHG regular weekly meeting and also sits in the meeting of assigned department.
Collects live bird, blood, organ / tissue samples, etc as maybe required for diagnosis
Able to interpret basic serology, PCR, histopathology, bacterial isolation results, antibiotic sensitivity tests and other laboratory procedures.
Performs other related duties assigned to him by his superior.
Observes utmost confidentiality of data or investigative documents at all times unless advised otherwise
