Position: Junior Architect
Job Overview
A Junior Architect typically assist and supports senior architect or a lead designer in various stage of architectural project.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting in the development of architectural plans and designs.
- Brainstorming ideas for projects
- Completing drawings
- Helping coordinate details for projects
- Submitting documents such as drawings, proposals and paperwork
- Communicating with contractors about the status of a project
- Collaborating with senior architects on project concepts
- Creating and presenting architectural proposal
- Drafting architecture plans
- Communicating with clients to gather requirements, answer questions and keep them current on the project status
- Assisting with the preparation of project budgets and timelines
- Reviewing and analyzing project specifications and requirements
- Coordinating with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Performing site visit to monitor construction progress
- Assist with the selection of materials and finishes
- Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software for drafting and modeling
- Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and contracts
- Conducting building envelope analysis and design
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Professional architectural license and or if not license, an experience of at least 2 years related work is required.
- Male or Female
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural software
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations
- Time management skills to meet project deadlines
- Ability to create and maintain project documentation
- Knowledge of architectural drafting standards
- Creativity and innovative thinking in design concepts
